Madeira Beach is a small beach community, about 2 miles long, that borders the beautiful white sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. Most of its residences are within walking distance to the beach, if they aren't on it already.

The population is around 4,500, including many retirees, and the rest of the residents work in commercial areas outside of the city.

Madeira Beach offers a wide variety of shops, restaurants and bars, as well as the beautiful sunsets that are free of charge year round.

The locals of Madeira Beach are proud of their clean streets, excellent public services, quiet neighborhoods, outstanding law enforcement and fire protection, and a local government that listens to the people.

The laid back, relaxed attitude of the area makes this the perfect place to live. Many residents of the beach call it "Mad Beach," but don't let the name fool you; Madeira's motto is "Two miles long and a smile wide."

North of Madeira Beach lies the communities of Redington Beach, North Redington Beach and Redington Shores.
